A young Nigerian woman has stirred conversation on social media after revealing how she spent ₦50,000 that was sent to her by a male admirer who wanted to meet her.
According to the lady, the man had reached out to her on Snapchat and offered to send her money for transportation so they could hang out. However, instead of meeting up with him, she decided to use the money differently.
In a video that has since gone viral, she was seen at the market buying chicken, turkey, and other food items. Later, she shared clips of herself preparing a delicious homemade meal, proudly showing off her cooking skills while ignoring the man’s repeated messages asking where she was.
She explained that she simply chose to spend the money on something meaningful rather than going out to meet a stranger.
While some social media users praised her for being smart and setting her boundaries, others criticized her for not being transparent about her intentions before accepting the money.
As the video continues to trend, opinions remain divided. Some viewers describe her action as a reminder that not every woman online is interested in casual meetings, while others argue that honesty should always come first.
The young woman, however, appears unbothered by the mixed reactions and seems to be enjoying her meal and the attention that came with it
