Love is in Every Word tells the story of Chioma meeting Abiora Odogwu, an Igbo businessman who is willing to do anything to marry her. To show his love, Odogwu showered Chioma with endless attention and gifts and gave her his heart.
Despite the support of her mother, friends and colleagues, Chioma was still hesitant to accept Odogwu's love.
The movie, starring Amony Oboli, stars former BBNaija reality contestants Bam Bam and Uzor Arukwe. Don't blame me if I don't mention the names of the other actors;
Why did this movie stir up so many emotions? Because Odogwu plays every kind of man a girl wants. Not only does Odogwu shower Chioma with expensive gifts, but he also promises not to have sex before marriage. Even on their first night together as lovers, he slept on the bed while Hibiki and Makoto slept on the bed in the same room. A man like that is every girl’s dream, like a prince in a Disney cartoon.
Unfortunately, from what I’ve seen on social media, this movie appeals to everyone’s sensibilities. Odogwu plays what men call a “Simp,” a man who will do anything for a girl without asking for it. The writers of the story reminded Nigerians of the Nigerian movies of the 1990s, when men believed they could win a woman’s heart by showering her with flowers and fulfilling her every wish. Many who followed this advice later regretted it.
Of course, it was foolish for Odogwu to buy the entire house that Chiyoma built because he wanted to meet her. It was also foolish to see him come to the office with traditional musicians to serenade Chioma. This can only happen in a fantasy world. But girls are attracted to these fantasies, which explains why they love this movie. That's why I said that the topic of this review is that seeing men in it makes you stupid.
It's stupid to waste your money and energy on a woman you want to marry. A woman knows who she's going to marry and who she's going to sleep with from the first time she sees him. So, if you go to the girl and say yes right away, there's no need to go to her office every day with gifts and music. This will break her heart and if she's not there, you won't see her again no matter how much you spend. In the end, it's money that confuses her. That's why Khioma hesitates to marry Odogwa because he tempted her with his small wallet instead of romantic charm and real money.
This movie is not just a story of a strong man. Women will also be affected because they will feel empowered. They want everyone who comes to them to behave like Simp Odogwu. Meanwhile, the men they truly love and who they spend their bodies and energy on have not spent a single penny on them, except for giving them soft drinks when they visit them as wives.
Regarding the technical aspects of this movie, I want you to know that this is a low budget movie. It looks like it was recorded with a low-end Android phone. The sound quality is not good. There is no expectation of understanding. Regarding the number of colors, please accept it.
Despite its overall low quality, Love is Everywhere attracted attention because it sold a fantasy that those who do not understand can understand. I do not recommend doing this because I do not want to increase the number of fools. Every word is full of love and deserves 2/10.
