They often combine modern style with high-tech amenities and a touch of luxury. The biggest and best of them are the authentic Winter Palaces, which feature glass walls, spacious meeting rooms, a large terrace, an indoor pool and several bedrooms with private bathrooms. The kitchen will be staffed by professional chefs, as hired staff will take care of almost all the preparation (unless you decide to eat in). Chalet Izoard: Two lakes are better than one

Megève is one of the most exclusive resorts in the French Alps and Chalet Izoard is located in the Mont d'Arbois area, close to the Four Seasons Resort. The house is a typical Alpine house built of wood and stone, with a large terrace on five floors, 10,764 square meters of living space, made of reclaimed wood, and eight bedrooms (including a children's room). . For guests who enjoy skiing and swimming, the hotel has both indoor and outdoor pools. Here you can learn about marine life and soak in the jacuzzi, Turkish bath or sauna. Many villas have pools and spas, but Chalet Teredo in Verbier, Switzerland, takes the amenities to the next level. There’s a large Turkish bath, a beautiful indoor pool (with glass walls) perfect for a dip, and an outdoor shower – a facility that would be a match for a luxury hotel. The 6,780-square-foot villa has five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a lounge, a dining area and panoramic views of Verbier. Prices for a villa at Teredo range from CHF 62,000 to CHF 120,000 (US$71,525 - 138,435) per week.

Chalet N: Price is no longer an issue

At 16,145 square feet, Chalet N in the Austrian resort of Oberlech in the Arlberg is larger than most hotels. There are seven indoor facilities: a Finnish sauna, a wine sauna, a modern saltwater steam room and an indoor pool.
